The jealous being!

Published by

on

This past week kept forcing on me only one thing repetitively, starting from Monday morning till now, the minute that I am writing it, there was only one thing that came to me over and over. It has been rubbed on my face, time and again that people aren’t jealous of you when they fail, but jealousy comes in with your success. Their failure does not seem to be the foundation of such paltry feelings, but someone else’s accomplishment is.

And honestly there is no solution to jealousy! When jealous feelings makes home inside of you, no rationale helps. There is only one question that bothers, “Why not me?”

And if by some chance there is someone who isn’t jealous of your endeavours, you are simply fortunate to have that wonderful individual in your life.

Great and interesting view Moushmi. The good thing about it is that when you have something, good people will be happy and those jealous will be unhappy.
Can I say two birds in one shot?

An interesting take on another negative human trait, Moushami! Envy, manifests when people decide to compare the greener grass of their fellow beings, forgetting individual efforts put to make and keep the grass green. The positive trait to jealousy is admiration for another’s success and accomplishments, which is sadly and selfishly bestowed by our own human psyche only to limited and selected few! Just another food for many of our thoughts.. 🙂

I think that this jealousy can definitely be turned into admiration, but mostly people take up to criticizing. I could be totally wrong, and this could be my mind’s invention too, but this is what I feel.

Yes, you are right as negativity doesn’t need much effort for a typical human mind. Positivity is a greater trait much difficult to achieve and pursue!

Desire is the root of the problem. As you may be saying…” Why not me?” They also maybe looking at you and saying…”Why not me? Why always her?” Desire causes suffering. Why not just be happy for them?

I agree jealousy isn’t a solution. It just starts bothering you even more.

While jealousy has indeed struck ever human since childhood, it may seem as though there is no antidote for jealousy. But while we may think, “Why not me?” asking why we can’t have something we want, we can also ask “Why not me?” when referring to bad things, like having cancer or being homeless. Why aren’t we inflicted with many of the bad things of this world? Anyone who is reading this probably has a computer, internet, clothes, shoes, food, water, and all the things necessary for living a life, whether it be an easy one or hard. We can turn our jealousy into thankfulness, because of God’s grace, who gives us ALL we need! Thanks for sharing your thoughts today Moushmi. It made me think about jealousy and how I should work in that area!

I feel I have managed to uproot jealousy from my realm. I am either inspired …or the inspiration. It is the other person’s choice to be inspired or to envy. Doesn’t affect me, I stay unaware.

That is really wise, it must have really helped you in some way or other. Being not jealous of others is your choice and in your hand but not being affected even when someone is jealous of you, that is commendable.

Jealousy is often considered as a curious vice…it may turn friends into foes, lovers into nemesis…although its roots run deep and dark, yet we all have been bequeathed with the power to overcome its poison and be a person worth our values. Such a lovely post indeed💞💞
