April Reads!

As much as I am shocked that we are already down with four months of the year, I think I may have covered up pretty much last month. Well, I am talking about reading and a little bit of writing. I started with having completed nine read books in January but it fell down to only two in the next months. And as for as writing is concerned it is almost on the same level.

But April, 2019, surprisingly was very productive considering my lackadaisical behaviour which lingers all year long!

When it comes to writing, you all know I am down to 30 poetries in the last month, which for sure might need a lot of editing but at the least it is there! And when it comes to reading, well, I think I have pretty much picked up my pace there too. And April, surprisingly was just AWESOME!

Here are the books that I read, some were really mind-boggling, others were good and yet some were disappointing. I am not doing any reviews here, the reviews are on Goodreads, if you want to find out more.

Find out below my April Reads:

1

Now this was HILARIOUS, I mean dealing with a serious issue, but still hilarious. You might want to pick it up if you want to read something a little out of the ordinary, despite the ordinariness.

2.jpg

Go ahead, judge me!!

3

Now this was a little unique. Mystery and demons and magic. Fictitious yet believable.

4.jpg

A simple historical romance, I’d say, but not so simple after all.

5.jpg

Judged again? But honestly, not quite worth it, I mean the book obviously 😉

6.jpg

This was my first with romance and thrill combined, and I was constantly on a roller-coaster ride, trying to find out what the hell happens. Might as well have developed a secret girl crush here.

7.jpg

Okay now some serious reading. (And of course I cannot judge it)

8.png

If the book title and the author itself isn’t enough for you to pick the book up,  then the humour, the mocking and the ideas written should be.

9.jpg

A very short poetry book, and it moves you considering the reality of the tragedy that the poet goes through.

10.jpg

This was my favourite from the month. The fact that that nothing is meaningful and the meaninglessness of life haas always hooked me.

11.png

CUTE! CUTE! CUTE!

12..jpg

Disappointed. Still wondering if to pick up the second one in the series or not!

13.jpg

I hadn’t expected much off it. However, it proved surprisingly great considering the least popularity of the book. In fact some of the passages delve into ‘life’ so much that its sheer simplicity would shock you. A decent historical fiction with wars, romance and a curse to add flavour to the book.

14.jpg

Only ‘some’ teens would like it. NOT MY CUP OF TEA!!!

Yeah, so 14 books in a month, not bad I guess?

What about you guys? What are you reading, what were you reading? Any recent favourites?

I am pretty sure, you won’t keep a book-addict waiting too long!!

Out of your book list, my personal favorites are Nietzsche, Kafka, and Virginia Woolf. My mom likes the steamy soap operas. Your voracious reading in April is truly phenomenal. We both love to read. It is a joy and a pleasure.
