February Frolics

Before I say anything today, I would first and foremost thank all my readers, all my friends for their texts and comments and mails on congratulating me and supporting me for my newest book, a short stories collection, Girl Woman Goddess. I am humbled by the way I have been acknowledged and I can’t thank everyone enough. Needless to say, I am also anxious since, every time someone picks up my work, I wonder what they feel, how they perceive my work. But I guess that is natural, or so for me because I think I will be a little insecure about my writings.

That said, if I had to review my last month, I have to be honest in saying that it wasn’t quite what I was expecting, and sadly enough, not in a positive way. I could have done with a more exciting month but well! I guess once the January Jazz is over the newness of the year kind of wavers.

On the reading front I haven’t read much, only I have managed to finish two books. The one was The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams and the other one Basics of Sanatan Sanskriti by Prateeik Prajapati. Both absolutely different genres but both absolutely intriguing reads. I do hope to increase my reading pace from here on and read atleast 5 books this month.

On the writing front, I am very excited to mention that I have finally finished (okay finished 90%) of edits on my novella. I have mentioned it before but in case you don’t remember, the novella is called ‘Mosaic of Moments’ and I am finally sure about the title of the book. If you haven’t watched the video you mught ot be aware how much of a trouble selecting the title of the book was. But now that it’s settled, I am willing to disclose a little more. The novella is a tad bit more personal that I’d have liked, and although it makes me more nervous to share with the world, a part of me is also thrilled to find out how you guys perceive it.

So, may be March would be just a little more than February? There is only one way to find out, right?

You tell me, how was your February? Do you think you’d like Mosaic of Moments? If the title excites you, you might want to stay tuned, I am going to disclose more details soon.
