Just June July Things

it’s been a while hasn’t it?

It’s been two months since I last updated this blog and even though I feel like it’s been a while and I have stayed away far too long, I still feel constantly overcrowded by the media. I feel like I am glued to my devices for far too long, even though my screen time is comparatively less.

I don’t really like the word comparative.

But I still feel like I could do with less of information given to me, less of the blue light and even lesser mindless scrolling and more of reading and writing. This is not to say that I have been only spending my time on these devises. Like I said it’s been a while and in the past two months I have sat for a few exams (though I think I am well past the stage of giving exams), travelled for a couple of days, hiked, exercised, read and started writing a new book.

So yeah, life’s been busy. Life’s been full.

And yet I cannot help but feel chained to these devices. The irony obviously stays, that I am typing this on my computer. But since I am sitting down at a desk to write this blog, I have realised that when I am using my computer I do it less often that I use my phone. So, my first step in trying to entangle myself from this web is to uninstall a lot of scrolling apps from my phone. I won’t be deactivating my pages. All I will do is to remove them from my phones. I will access them from my computer and since it feels like a chore on the computer I will spend even lesser time there. At least I am hopeful of that consequence.

Well, this is the plan. I can’t just hide away but I can put a little more effort. And while I am talking about effort might I mention that this new book that I am writing is becoming special with each word I write. The only problem is I am not sure if it is going to be novella or a full fledged novel.

That’s it for now. Hopefully, I will be back soon with something of more consequence. Until then I hope you enjoy this new short story on my YouTube channel..
