The Sea

Published by

Poetry has been a consistent part of my life, first reading and then writing. Though if someone would have said that I could try writing poems, a year back, I would have rolled my eyes and said, “Yeah, right!” Not that I have become very confident of my pieces, but I have come as far as trying to share them and be judged.

So, judge away a small poem that has been accepted for publication by Indian Periodical:

The Sea

Do share with me what you think about this. It is always amazing to hear from you, and helpful to hear an honest opinion.

Indeed it took a while to have a fix on your splendid poetry. Sums up the whole life of a sea until it veils it’s beauty under the dark only to rise and shine the next morning.
Don’t know whether I could sense the meaning right! But I love reading them..😊💙

Congratulations and well deserved. I loved the poem and I kept thinking of colors and canvases, waiting for the sea to appear. The writing has the angst, the introspection, the helplessness but never a sense of defeat that pervades most of your writing.

Thank you ESP. That defeat, I hope is only in my writings and not in reality.

I hope so too M, I know you are not the type who would be comfortable in defeat, be it reality or writing, sometimes there is not much difference between the two.
