Veil (noun): a piece of very thin material, worn especially by women to protect or hide the face, or as part of a hat, etc.

Face Mask (noun): something that you wear over part or all of your face, in order to protect it or to prevent the spread of disease

The definitions were taken from Oxford Learner Dictionary. At first I thought I’d just leave it here, but then.. why not.

Face Masks have become an extreme necessity over the last year and yet, people refrain from either wearing it completely or wear it in an improper manner, making excuses of not being able to breathe properly and as such. They are important not only for the wearer but also for the ones around. Now, what do we think of the women forced to wear a ghoonghat, hijab or any other kind of veil, living in hiding half their life. Please do not tell me it is old now, and women are free to go about as they please. I know. You know. 

We are not talking about women who wear a ghunghat out of devotion during a pooja or someone who wears a hijab out of choice. We are talking about forced conditioning.

People, wear a mask and let the other veils be a choice.
