Personally, I do not mind if one calls me Mrs. Master or Aunt Malaprop for that matter. But I find it wrong that women still need to be addressed in regard to their relationship status. Why don’t we just remove all ther other jazz and stick with Ms.

i feel over the years the title “mrs.” has taken on a very negative status. in days past, the title of “mrs.” was a very sought after status. women were seen as “nothing” if they were not married. it was a way to say a woman had “arrived.” much like a man had arrived if he got married. of course we all know this is crap, but most women use to see being married as being secure in life. they got married to have security. nothing really wrong with that and it really doesnt take away her identity. rather than looking at all this in a negative view, why not celebrate the fact we can each try to achieve our personal goals. if someone is offended by the titles, they also should be secure in their beliefs to say so in a kind and non threatening manner.
