What made you stay?

Time just flies, doesnโ€™t it?

Every time I look back to my younger days, I just realise how stupid I was to make a fool of myself every time everywhere. It has been a very trying experience, exhausting at times but also very stimulating journey for me. Gradually I have evolved into the woman that I am today and it just doesnโ€™t take a second for someone to question me โ€˜Why am I so, today?โ€™

That is not what bothers me and I accept that I am still in the process of learning and evolving. I should admit I had been once a very lonesome person, always in her own world, not much have changed about it today too but some improvement has been made and I try harder every single day to include people in my life. So I wonder what made few people in my life to stay despite the person I was back then?

I have not been in barest contact with my old pals, some of them who really meant a lot to me in my life and I tried time and again to maintain a relationship that I wanted and which we shared but it did not happen. I have lost almost every single one of them. But then what made the two of the loveliest souls stay back?

Why did they stay and not move away like the rest, I had never put in extra effort for them, it was all equal and yet the two of them stayed. They did and they are still a part of my life and a very important one at that. I can never put into words what they mean to me, my limits of vocabulary fail me here but they are the pillars of my life, the orientation of who I am today.

โ€œI have changedโ€, yeah I have heard that criticism a lot often but these people have never complained and they have been there always. Thank you! I know it isnโ€™t sufficient and never will be, but what else can a selfish person like me say?

Those who stay truly realize your actual self without you telling them anything. They are selfless and something bonds them with you. And they are real good human beings and your true well-wishers. It’s sheer luck that anyone finds such persons in their lives! And it’s couple of friends only who stay forever in an otherwise lonely existence. One should cherish such friends and consider oneself very lucky to have them in life. We may think what they find good in us but sometimes it is beyond that which only they can understand but unable to tell you.

we are constantly evolving. people come and go in our lives. they have their reasons. you are not here to please those around you first, but to please yourself and those around you will come along because of who you are. if not? their loss.

Being dependent has taught me good lessons. People leave no matter what they promise, that’s all I know.

Well, all I can say is the person who I know that authors this blog is a kind, compassionate and lovely soul. We all keep (hopefully :)) always growing and learning but the people that stick with us thru good and bad are usually few and far between but those are the REAL friends in our lives. I also don’t view you ever as being selfish but never try to be anyone but you ๐Ÿ™‚ – you’re exactly as you are supposed to be ๐Ÿ™‚ and I like you!

One of my friend once said, ‘It took more than 20 years to build who you are then why change?” It sure lightened me and I never will want to change for someone else.
All said and done seriously thank you for acknowledging me.
